OnePlus X-Ray Vision Mode Can Trap You!!
One Plus Technology, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer based in Shenzhen
introduced their latest model of smartphone series OnePlus8 Pro. The
Device comes with a 6.78-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440x3168 pixels
and has an aspect ratio of 19.8:9. Based on Octa-Core Qualcomm
Snapdragon 865 processor, it has a 8GB of RAM and runs on
Android 10 OS. Powered by a 4510mAh non-removable battery, the
OnePlus 8 Pro supports wireless charging and proprietary fast charging.
This was a small snapshot about OnePlus 8 Pro features. The phone was a
descent flagship buyer and had all the testimonials certified for a OnePlus
brand. But the controversy spiked up when many users faced privacy problems
with the device. The phone had a unique feature of X-ray vision mode.
What is X-Ray Vision?
X-Ray Vision is a technology which will help users to look inside each
other. Yes this technology was broadcast in DC Comics through a
superhero called Superman.
X-rays have many practical uses for scientific and
medical imaging. Such devices are being deployed in some airports as a way of
detecting contraband such as guns, knives and any other weapons in particular
which may be carried beneath a person's clothing, bag, etc. The images seen on x-ray film are shadows of
the objects through which the x-rays were passed through on their way to the
film. As depicted, x-ray vision is actually more of a form of the supposed
psychic ability of remote viewing.
Unlike other motion-tracking devices, the new system takes advantage of the fact that radio
signals with short wavelengths can travel through walls. Researchers suggest
that currently RF-Capture can only track people who are directly facing
the sensors and it can't perform full skeletal tracking as traditional
motion-capture solutions can. The initial application of this technology was
seen in the healthcare systems.
The devices have created some degree of controversy
from personal privacy advocates who worry about screeners being able to see
people naked. There also exist certain night-vision equipped video cameras that
can be modified to see through clothing at a frequency just below visible
light. The filter seems to work by capturing
infrared light that’s otherwise invisible to the naked eye. There are many
professional uses for cameras that can see infrared light like letting firefighters
see through smoke but it’s less common to see it on a consumer device like a
smartphone.
However due to a large number of outcry OnePlus had to downtrodden this
menace by pushing OTA (Over the Air) Updates in order to disable this camera
feature.
My Tech Insight regarding this will be –
Start Pushing and Looking for other products in mid-range segment which can
offer multiplex attributes rather than closely inching yourself towards such premium flagships with
privacy concerns. Chinese brands have always violated personal data and this is
a great concern to deal with.

with new Insights.
GoodBye!
